Herb retired from the Town of Manlius Highway Department. He was a volunteer fireman for the Fayetteville Fire Department, a little league coach and umpire, as well as an usher at Immaculate Conception Church. All of these created many great and lifelong friends.
Herb was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Sue; and his sister, Barbara Wessinger. Surviving are his children, Michael, Edward and Sue Gardiner (Robert); his sister, MaryLou Kimball; 3 grandchildren, Craig Gardiner, Jason Gardiner and Candice Wygand (Nathan); many nieces and nephews; and a shout out to the Nest family.
The family is very thankful for all the love and friendship shown to Herb over his lifetime.
