Howard G. Schiltz, Sr., 89, of Fayetteville, NY passed away peacefully on November 22, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Syracuse. Born on December 14, 1929, he was a veteran who served his country in the Korean War. He worked at Syracuse China for many years.

Howard was a hard working man, even after retirement he worked many jobs. He had a great sense of humor, loved being social and supported his community.

Howard was predeceased by his parents, Gladys Brown and Howard Schiltz; and his brother, Robert.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Kobes; his six children, Howard, Mary (Mark) Schiltz Hogan, Joseph (Rose) Schiltz, Paul Schiltz (Lynette Huey), Carolyn (David) O’Toole and Joan Schiltz (George Huff); three grandchildren, Jonathan, Shawn and Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 am on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Schepp Family Funeral Homes, Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The funeral service will follow the calling hour. Burial with military honors will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
