Obituary for Jacqueline M. Leonard

     Jacqueline M. Leonard, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday evening, February 23, 2022.

     Born in New York City on July 10, 1934, she was the daughter of William and Melvina Silva.

     Jacqueline enjoyed camping, traveling, crossword puzzles and knitting and was an avid reader. Jacqueline was  very creative individual who could turn an ordinary object into a  painting or art and crafts project. She was a member of the Leisure Time Club in Chittenango.  Jacqueline loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Maurice; brothers, Bill and Robert Silva; and sister, Shirley Arnemann.

     Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Matt) Sturick of East Syracuse; sons, Thomas Leonard, Michael Leonard and William (Angela) Leonard; sister, Lillian Silva; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

     Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 11am to 12:30pm at the Eaton Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery at 1pm.

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Everson Museum of Art.
