James Andrew Brennan, Sr., son of John and Mary Katherine Brennan, died peacefully on July 14, 2019 with his wife at his side. He is predeceased by his parents; his brother-in-law, Charles Engel; his sister-in-law, Joan Engel; and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Brennan.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Engel Brennan; his four children, John (Mary Beth), Mildred (Jason) Richman, James and Joseph (Ann Marie); eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A loving family man, Jim traveled far and wide with Carolyn, gathered with his family in the 1000 Islands for their annual 4th of July celebration, and enjoyed a good round of golf.
Jim proudly served in the United States Army and the United States Army Reserve from 1956 - 1962. He received the Good Conduct Medal.
Jim graduated from LeMoyne College in 1955 with a BS degree in Industrial Relations.
The funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am on Friday, July 19 at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial with military honors will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Fayetteville.
