Obituary for Jean Marie Baxter

 

      Jean Marie Baxter, 91, formerly of Syracuse and Bridgeport, passed away June 3rd at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin surrounded by her family.  Jean worked as a real estate broker for 35 years, specializing in Oneida Lake properties and was known as “Lady of the Lake”.  She enjoyed her success being a realtor and found happiness in helping people find their home. 

     She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.  She loved to travel with her sister and family.  She was a member of the Red Hats and enjoyed outings with them.  Most especially Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Baxter; her sister Mary Ann Moran; her parents, Helen and Charles Dusart; and her grandson, Kyle.

     She is survived by her children, William (Mary) Baxter, Kathleen Byrnes, Debra (Kenneth) Irving and Susan (Robert) Converse; ten grandchildren, Jason, Cynthia, Edward, Robert, Zachary, Daniel (Katie), James (Alexis), Bridget, Emily and Claire; 10 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Kaitlin, Jazzi, Amora, Shaven, Riley, Gage, Ryker, Kilian and Laney; and many nieces and nephews that she adored.

     The funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 7th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Norwich.  Burial will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
