I worked with Jeff from about 1999 to 2002. What a great guy he was to be around! Smart as a whip, but so humble and easy to work with. We used to banter back and forth during the 2000 election. He was dumbfounded that I was voting for Gore, and I was just as surprised that he was voting for Bush. It became a running thing with us, and made the election that much more entertaining. He'd be walking by my office, and stop and look at me and say something like "Really? You are really going to vote for Gore?" Sometimes he'd lay out some of the reasons why Gore would be bad for the country, or why Bush would be a better choice, but it was always cordial, never anything but informative and fun. I really enjoyed knowing him, and I am so sorry for your loss. Such a great guy, gone far too soon.

Jeff was a wonderful friend and mentor to me during his time at Lockheed Martin. I will remember our work trips, his always positive attitude, and the kindness Jeff showed everyone he met. My condolences to the family and know how proud he was of all of his children. Jeff lives on in the love he created while with us.

Family and Friends,
I was with great sadness that I got the news of your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time as they have been each morning for as long as I have know about Jeff's illness. I know Jeff from work and remember a kind and gentle man who only tried to make everyone else's day better by supporting whatever they needed from him. He was the genuine article when it came to being your friend even at work. I never felt like to him it was a work thing, but rather a true connection and friendship for him. He understood that we spent so much time together, sometimes more than family. I traveled with Jeff a few times and he knew my nervousness in flying and always relaxed me by getting me to laugh about my worries so that I was able to make the trips needed. I will remember our time together here at work and will remember each of you in prayer through this time. He impacted my life and I am sure many others here too and thought you would like to know.

Warmest Regards,
James Cayea
