Obituary for Jefferson S. Mitchell
Jefferson S. Mitchell, 63, of Manlius passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Utica, NY and grew up in Ithaca, NY. Jeff graduated from Clarkson College and received his Masters of Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He was employed for many years with Lockheed Martin in engineering and program management.
Jeff was an active member of Christ Church in Manlius. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and projects at home. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Suzanne; children, Sarah (Jonathan) Adelstein, Gregory (Laura) Mitchell and Allison Mitchell; grandchildren, Morgan and Elias; brother, Norman (Cindy) Mitchell; sister-in-law; brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Christ Episcopal Church, 407 E. Seneca St., Manlius. Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at the Church.
