On Friday, October 30, 2020, John C. Myers, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 67.
John was born on October 17, 1953 in Syracuse, NY. John attended Camden Senior High School and graduated from Corcoran High School in Syracuse, NY. John received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving at The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. John worked for the Syracuse City School District from 1978-1989 and Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES as a Systems Consultant from 1989 to 2013 until his retirement.
John had a passion for computers. He loved to build and repair computers and felt blessed to have a career which combined his love for working with computers and for helping people. His hobbies were to create extraordinary computer systems for computer gaming and for listening to music. He was an avid music lover and a collector of all genres of music. John will always be remembered for his kind spirit and his gentle loving nature. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his wife, Jane; his two daughters, Irene and Kelley; and his grandson, Collin.
There will be a private celebration of his life. There will be no calling hours.
