Obituary for John P. Ruebsamen Jr.
John Pomeroy Ruebsamen, Jr. of Fayetteville, NY passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019. He was born on October 20, 1936 in Greenport, NY, the son of John Pomeroy Ruebsamen and Katherine Hillard Ruebsamen. John was a graduate of Southold High School, Union College and RPI. He served in the Army Signal Corps.
John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Payne Ruebsamen; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne C. and George Powers of Liverpool; and grandchildren, Megan Powers and Spencer Powers.
John enjoyed teaching math at State University at New Paltz, NY. He loved music, history, science, oil painting, and most of all, his family.
Services were private.
