Obituary for John K. "Jack" Tobin

 

     John "Jack" K. Tobin, 83, of Jamesville, NY, passed away peacefully at Francis House on Monday.  Jack was born to John and Nora Elizabeth (Kelly) Tobin on November 4, 1938, in Syracuse New York.  A graduate of East Syracuse High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959 and then founded J.K. Tobin Construction and later, Salt Springs Paving.

     In addition to running his business, which he did until earlier this year, Jack enjoyed his vintage cars, auto racing, golf and spending time at his homes in Skaneateles and Fort Myers, Florida.

     Jack is survived by his loving wife, Glenys and daughter, Kelly and son-in-law, Adlai "Robin" Wheeless. He is also survived by Glenys’ children, Heather (Norm) March, Christopher (Kathy) Tindall and James (Naomi) Tindall. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

     Jack was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marilyn Martin, and first wife, Elena Tobin.

     Services will be private. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Dewitt.
