Obituary for Joseph John Proietto
Joseph John Proietto, 85, of Fayetteville, NY died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Joseph was born August 12, 1935 in Fulton, NY to Filippo and Angela (Puglia) Proietto (deceased). He attended Fulton High School and Empire State College.
Joseph’s career as a manufacturing engineer began at General Electric and he later worked for Magnavox CCTV in Manlius, NY and Goguen Industries in Liverpool, NY. He served in the Air Force in Germany as part of the radio division in the Late 50s and the Air National Guard in the early 60s.
Joe enjoyed skiing, sailing, music, poetry and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by two daughters, Julie (and spouse, John) Griffith of Parker, Colorado; and Jennifer Proietto of Fayetteville. The girls’ mother, Lois (Kring) Proietto resides in Fulton. Joe is also survived by one sister, Catherine Farrington of Fulton and two nieces, Kasha de Silva and Kara Bowes. Joe treasured his frequent visits to Colorado to visit his grandchildren, John, Katelyn and Liliana of Parker, CO.
