Mrs. Rogers, Kim,Mark, Drew and families:

I regret that I will be out of town and unable to see you at the services. I do want you all to know how special Mr. Rogers was to me since I was a kid in Franklin Park. He was one of the parents (along with Mrs. Rogers) that treated you as one of their own and always engaged in meaningful conversation. He was helpful, caring and fun to be with. I have many wonderful memories of seeing him after high school and catching up. I am glad he had a long life and hope you all take comfort in your memories of him too. My condolences to you all.

Dear Rogers Family,
How special you all are. Thank you for sharing your love of friendship and community. Joe will be dearly missed. The twinkle in his eye. His smile and laugh. He would brighten right up when I would ask him and Clara about the family. So proud he was of you all. He is in all of you ,to carry on his wonderful example. May the Lord comfort and strengthen you.
I will be out of town or I would be there. God bless you all.
