Obituary for Joyce C. Gosier
Joyce C. Gosier, 93, of Fayetteville died after a short illness. Joyce grew up in the Cape Vincent area and was a longtime resident of the Syracuse area. She had an early career as a nurse in Watertown. She married her husband Charles in 1948.
Joyce was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and a longtime member of the Cavalry Club. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was known as Nana and adored by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, David (Jeanette), Bob (Deb) and Patti (Mark) Droege; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob and Jim Chavoustie.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Charles Gosier; her brother, Pete and a sister, Mary.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 12th at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday, January 13th at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
