Judith B. Lannon, 75, of Auburn passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday morning, September 15, 2019.

Born on August 16, 1944, Judy was the youngest daughter of James and Alida (Barry) Lannon of Fayetteville, NY. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1962. Judy retired from Community General Hospital after many years. She was a faithful communicant of St. Alphonsus Parish, Auburn.

Her dedication and love for her large family was unending and inspiring. She loved her sisters and brothers and took great pride in being “Favorite Aunt Judy” to her many nieces and nephews and their children. Her witty sense of humor brightened the lives of those around her. Judy enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine and Cape Cod or anywhere that she could visit with family. Whether she was traveling near or far, she was famous for her back seat driving. She had a passion for reading and loved to share her books. She was a kind and special person to so many and will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her parents; siblings James (Jean) Lannon, Theresa (John) Goode, Mary (William) Myllymaki, Robert Lannon and William Lannon; and four nephews.

Surviving is her companion, Richard Williams; sisters, Janet (Robert) Vaccarelli and Barbara (Jeffrey) Lynch; twenty three nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Calling hours will be Wednesday September 25 from 4 to 7pm at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, September 26 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial will be made in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fayetteville.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of CNY

Sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. We worked together for a number of years at CGH on 4North and car pooled together from Auburn through the snow and bad weather. She made the commute enjoyable even at 630am and ran the desk on 4North so efficiently.

Dick and the Lannon Family - I was so sorry to hear about Judy's passing. She was a wonderful and loving person, and a wonderful comfort to my mom, me, and my family when my father, Ken Bailey, passed. She was a blessing when my mother became ill with breast cancer too. My sister and I often spoke of Judy, saying we'll have to give her a call, but as it is in life, unfortunately, life always seemed to get in the way. :( My parents, Kay and Ken Bailey, loved her dearly, and appreciated her, like another daughter. And Dick too! They spoke of many good times with you both, and visits at Otisco Lake. May you Dick, and Judy's entire family, take comfort in the wonderful memories she left behind, and as for my sisters, brother, and I, our memories are full of love, gratitude, and knowing she is now partying with my parents in heaven.
