Obituary for Kenneth S. Sterritt
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, Kenneth Stewart Sterritt, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 73. Ken was born on April 11, 1946 to Arthur and Margaret Sterritt. He graduated from Manlius Military Academy and later attended Windham College in Vermont. He worked in sales and communications. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War era stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska where he worked for missile command.
Ken enjoyed lawn care, cooking, and grilling. He was known for his quick wit, generosity, and kind heart. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his sons, Christopher and Matthew (Stacia); and his siblings, Ed (Beth), Kathy (David), and Pat (Kent).
His family would like to thank the compassionate staff and volunteers of Francis House.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House at 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
Services will be held on August 19 at 6:30pm with a reception to follow at Eastern Hills Bible Church 8277 Cazenovia Road, Manlius, NY 13104.
