Obituary for Kevin M. Hanlon

.
Kevin M. Hanlon, 62, of Manlius died surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kevin loved geography and the map of his life is filled with people and places that benefited from his presence. He inspired others to do and accomplish what they never thought possible.

Kevin embraced life. He loved people. His work ethic was unmatched, and he never quit when faced with a challenge. “No” to Kevin...was the beginning of “Yes.” Whether it be work, friendships, family or community, he willed the world to be a better place.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Denise Raab Hanlon; his children, Lilly, Mark and Ellrose; his mother, Jane D. Hanlon; brothers and sister, Tom (Carolyn) Hanlon, Bob (Colleen Terrell) Hanlon and Margaret (Rich) Ingraham; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant twins, Francis and Edward and his father, W. Donald Hanlon.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 15 at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kevin’s name to the International Cancer Advocacy Network, askican.org
