Obituary for Linda L. Polcaro
Linda L. Polcaro, 68, of Kirkville, passed away Monday morning, September 23, 2019.
Born in Syracuse on August 30, 1951, she was the daughter of Robert and Anita Law. Linda was a graduate of ESM High School, Class of 1969 and SUNY Albany, Class of 1973. She started her career at Coopers and Lybrand and retiring from Goulds Pump as the Treasurer in 1995. Upon her retirement her employees nominated her to the Wall of Fame in the Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls.
Linda was on the Board of Trustees at LeMoyne College and United Way of CNY. She was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church of East Syracuse where she was also a member of the Finance Committee. Linda loved to go out to eat, shopping and going to the movies with her family and friends. Linda and her husband Fran enjoyed spending the winters in Venice, FL.
The family would like to thank her special aid April for always being by Linda’s side.
She is predeceased by her father Robert H. Law.
Surviving is her husband of 43 years, Francis Polcaro; son, Matthew Polcaro; daughter, Michelle Polcaro; mother, Anita Law; brother, Richard Law; sisters, Susan (Jack) Faasse, Robin Post and Karen (Clifford) Townsend; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Friday, September 27 from 4 to 7 at the First United Church of East Syracuse, 823 Franklin Park Dr., East Syracuse, NY 13057. A funeral service will follow at the church at 7pm.
In lieu of flower, contributions in her memory may be made to United Way of Central New York, 980 James St., Syracuse, NY 13203.
