Obituary for Luke F. Pesane

Luke F. Pesane, 103 years young, passed away on May 27th. Loving life with a positive attitude, and always offering a helping hand, were his ingredients for longevity. Born as Cosimo Luca Pisani of Italian immigrant parents, he acted as Interpreter for the National Youth Administration. He organized a fast pitch softball team in his neighborhood and represented his Air Force Base against world champion leagues. He is a Syracuse University Alumni with many achievement awards for mentoring in the Whitman School of Management. His career spanned 30 years in various management positions with Moore Business Forms. Upon retirement, he founded Executive Search Consultants of Central New York and was very active in the Sales & Marketing Executives of CNY. Luke was an awarded Air Force veteran from WWII and a longtime member of the American Legion. His interests included golf (long time member of the Cavalry Club), travel, alternative health, Saint Luke the Evangelist, and the Yankees! He loved the Lord, and was a long time congregate of Immaculate Conception Church.

Luke is predeceased by his wife Ruth of 75 years and survived by his children, James & Anne Pesane of Brewerton, Patricia & Pat Burgess of Florida, Susan & Tom Korzeniewski of the Bahamas; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 3rd, 9:30 – 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville, followed by a funeral Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Dewitt. Friends and family are welcome. The funeral mass may be accessed through a LiveStream broadcast at https://icfayetteville.org/funerals/
