Maria Hullar of Fayetteville, NY at the age of 93 went and joined her beloved grandson, Joey Petro and husband, Jake Hullar on December 6, 2021.  Born in Rome, Italy in 1927, she came to America in 1947 on the ship “Marine Falcon”.  She worked at Learbury’s as a seamstress and Barbuto’s Restaurant as a waitress where she met her husband, Jacob Hullar III.

     When her mother-in-law passed in 1959, she left Hullar’s Coffee Shop to Maria.  Her greatest passion in life besides her family was the friendships she built with so many of her customers.  If she liked you, she loved you, if she didn’t, you definitely knew it!

     We want to thank all who touched her heart in so many ways.  Those memories were what she cherished the most right up to her last days.

     She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Jake Hullar and her grandson, Joe Petro.

     She is survived by her daughters, Susan Palmer (Joe), Nanette Hullar (Bernie) and Nadia Schepp (Marcus); grandchildren, Jake Hullar, Ethan Schepp and Larah Schepp; great-grandchild, Lucca; along with her family in Italy, sister, Jona Gennari (Gino); nephew, Alessandro; and niece, Paola.

     Services will be private.
