Marie R. Goodfellow, 98, of Fayetteville died peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 25, 1921 in Ilion, NY to Frederick B. and Ann O’Shea Ruder. Marie graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School in 1939 and attended Syracuse University College of Fine Arts as a voice student and Marywood College in Scranton, PA.
She was a member of the Onondaga Art Guild, Cazenovia Watercolor Society, Bradford Art Group and DeWitt Society Arts. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church and former Eucharistic Minister.
She was predeceased by her husband, John C. Goodfellow in 1966; brother, Robert Ruder; sister, Catherine Manning; and her faithful dog, George.
She is survived by John Jr. (Susan), Thomas R. (Cheryl), Ann Goodfellow Jackson, Michael R. (Carol) Joseph E. (Kathy) and Stephen F. (Michelle); grandchildren, Colton Goodfellow; Ryan, Sarah and Erin Goodfellow; Kyle (Dan) Pribula; Katelyn and Michael Goodfellow; Thea Linscott; Carolyn, Jack and Nicholas Goodfellow; four great grandchildren, Giuliana, Olivia, Francesca and Daniel Pribula.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, October 2 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 3 at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
