Obituary for Marilyn H. Fowler

Marilyn H. Fowler passed away peacefully in Syracuse on Friday, August 9th, at the age of 92. Marilyn was born on March 30, 1927 in Scranton, PA and lived in Manlius for the past 57 years. She was married to her husband William (Bill) Fowler for 57 years before his passing in April 2018. Prior to marrying Bill, and moving to Syracuse, she was an executive secretary in Florida.

Marilyn was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She devoted her life to her husband and to her three boys. When the boys married, she welcomed their wives with much love, like they were her own children. She loved her nine grandchildren and cherished every moment when they were around.

Marilyn loved to read, she was a fantastic cook, and she made the best Apple Pie and Texas Sheet Cake around. Marilyn was an excellent bridge player and even a better shopper. She would often shop daily, looking for the best deals.

Marilyn is survived by her three sons, her three daughter-in-laws, and her nine grandchildren: William Jr. (Valerie) of Huntington Beach, CA, David (Hallie) of McKinney, TX and Robert (Kate) of Manlius. Her grandchildren are Caroline, Emma, William (Will) III, Shannon, Sarah, Julianne, Sophie, Lucille and Lillian.

The family welcomes your presence at the DeWitt Community Church, 3600 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY, on Friday, August 16th, for calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a brief service.

Any donations may be made to The Francis House and to the DeWitt Community Church.
