Obituary for Martha Byrne
Martha Byrne, 98 years young of Jamesville, passed away on October 19, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born in Hochberg, Germany 6/29/1922 to Michael and Johanna (Wilhelm) Seubert.
She was predeceased by her husband Hugh Byrne, Jr in 1982 and is survived by her 3 sons - Patrick (Joan) of Dedham, MA, Michael (Gloria) of Dracut, MA and Hugh (Julie) of Jamesville, NY. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren all of whom were the light of her life.
Martha was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Jamesville and then Holy Cross, Dewitt. When she was able, she loved to tap dance, teach card making and garden. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, listening to big band era music and bird watching.
Her kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends may call from 10 – 11:00 am on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt. The funeral Mass will follow the calling hour at 11:00 am.
