Martin M. Amidon, 66, of Kirkville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Floyd and Clara Amidon. He graduated from Auburn Community College with an Associate Degree. He was a Police Officer for the Town of Manlius and later enjoyed taking on new business ventures.

Martin was a generous man who loved helping others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debra; daughters, Valerie (Ashleen) Amidon, Laura (David) Van Gelder; sisters, Sondra (Robert) Smolen, Wanda Stetson; brothers, Wayne (Mary) Amidon, and Paul (Deborah) Amidon; grandchildren, Jack and William Van Gelder; several nieces and nephews.
