Mary Elizabeth Austin Bender, 87, of Kirkville, passed away on August 22, 2019 at home. She was born on August 31, 1931 in Kirkville and was a 1949 graduate of Chittenango High School. Mary was a homemaker and belonged to the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert F. Bender; daughter, Betty Roberts of Kirkville; son, Robert W. (Catherine) Bender of Chittenango; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Service will be private with burial at Pine Plains Cemetery in North Manlius.
