Mary T. Piscitell Callura, 94, of Solvay passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Mary grew up in The Valley area of Syracuse. She married Joseph Callura and they moved to Solvay. She worked at Pass & Seymour for a number of years.
Mary loved taking care of her family, cooking, baking and enjoying every minute spent with them, especially Sunday dinners at her son’s house. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Cecelia’s Church in Solvay.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. in 2013; brothers, Anthony, Louis, Peter, Michael, Angelo and Frank; sister, Ann Walter.
Mary is survived by her son, Chuck Callura and partner Nina Caselle; grandchildren, Kristen (Michael) McGraw, Kelly (Robert) Wolfe and Maria Callura; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Capocefalo; several nieces and nephews; and her four legged "grandson" Joey.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 21st from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Monday, March 22nd at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
