Obituary for Muriel D. Lerro

Muriel Lerro passed away Saturday, May 16. Muriel loved nothing more than spending time with her family, cherishing a celebration for her 70th wedding anniversary that brought everyone together last summer. She spent 30 years in the accounting department for the NY Telephone Company before retiring in 1985, which might be what drove her passion for talking on the phone so much. Not one to miss out on time with friends, she also belonged to the Telephone Pioneers Group who met for monthly luncheons since her retirement. She was a long-time parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville and a 1948 graduate of North High.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Clem; brother, Ron DeYulio of Liverpool; sons, Michael of East Syracuse and Rich (Deb) of Fayetteville; grandchildren Jeff (Sarah) of East Syracuse, Brian (Lindsay) of Santa Rosa, CA, Dan (Adrienne) of Cranford, NJ, and Colleen (Ian) of Alexandria, VA; and great grandchildren Kate, Clayton, Rex, Cal, Jimmy and Reagan.

A memorial service will be scheduled and announced for a future date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue Syracuse, New York 13208.
