Obituary for Nicholas Woyciesjes

Nicholas Woyciesjes, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully Friday at home surrounded by family. Nicholas was born in Syracuse the son of the late Joseph and Sophia Woyciesjes. He worked at Cambridge Filters and Carrier Corporation.

He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a former member of the choir. Nicholas and his wife, Mary raised their children in Eastwood and were communicants of Blessed Sacrament Church.

Nicholas enjoyed spending summers at the family cottage at Chaumont Bay. He loved SU sports, the NY Yankees, crossword puzzles, and expertly rocking fussy babies to sleep in his arms.

Surviving are his, five daughters, Mary Jo (Michael) Terrell, Patricia Relyea, Sandra (Anthony) Barbato, Jill (William) Lee and Kathleen (Vincent Ezzo) Cole; three sons, Mark (Connie), Michael (Michele), and Nicholas (Tanya) Woyciesjes; sister, Dorothy Mautz; brother, Joseph (Ruth) Woyciesjes; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Mary Woyciesjes; sister, Kathryn Zadrovicz; brother, George Woyciesjes; son-in-law, Martin Dannel Relyea.

Calling hours will Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
