Obituary for Patricia Woyciesjes Relyea

Patricia Woyciesjes Relyea, 62, passed away on Sunday, February 6th in Jacksonville, FL from complications of dementia.  Born in Syracuse on November 17, 1959, she graduated from Bishop Grimes High School in 1977 and SUNY Oswego.  Patricia taught for ten years in Fayetteville-Manlius Schools.

     Patricia was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville.  She was an avid crafter, spending many happy hours crocheting and sewing.  She enjoyed being outdoors, whether in Central New York parks, tending to her many gardens, or enjoying summers at her family cottage on Chaumont Bay.  She treasured being part of a big family and was especially close to her four caring sisters.  Her greatest love was raising her three children with her husband, Dan.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Dannel Relyea in 2008; and her parents, Nicholas Woyciesjes in 2020 and Mary “Mickey” Woyciesjes in 2017.

     She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn (Nazar) Sharunenko and Danielle (Michael) Sargent; son, Matthew (Jessica) Relyea all of Jacksonville, FL; four sisters, Mary Jo (Michael) Terrell, Sandra (Anthony) Barbato, Jill (William) Lee, and Kathleen (Vincent Ezzo) Cole; three brothers, Mark (Connie) Woyciesjes, Michael (Michele) Woyciesjes, and Nicholas (Tanya) Woyciesjes; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

     Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 1st at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.  A memorial Mass will be offered at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 2nd at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville.
