Obituary for Peter Shevchuk
Peter Shevchuk, age 65, of Manlius, New York, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 16, 2020. He was born the son of Nick and Halyna (Dereka) Shevchuk on January 29, 1955 in France. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrical engineer with Siemens for 45 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed tennis, and was a big fan of the Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. His love for his family was unmeasurable.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen (Upham); 2 daughters, Courtney (Grant) Sanville of Akron, NY and Amanda (Richard) Schwartz of Buffalo, NY; 2 grandchildren, Nolan and McKinley Sanville; 2 sisters, Elena (Mike) D’Anna and Natalie Shevchuk; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Halyna Shevchuk.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm on Friday, November 20 at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. A private family service will follow.
