Rita B. Mayer, 90, of Manlius passed away peacefully on June 11th. She was born in Syracuse and graduated from the Convent School. She retired from Mutual of New York after 23 years. Rita was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. She was active in the I.C. Prayer Ministry, Prayer Shawl Ministry, and volunteered with I.C. Good News.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Ferris. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Heaney of Manlius, NY and Rosemary Fatcheric of Bergen, NY; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Her family will always remember her caring personality and unique jokes and rhymes.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Tuesday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville, NY 13066. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in Syracuse.
