Obituary for Robert Wells Corn

Robert W. Corn, 47, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday at home unexpectedly. Born in Seattle, WA, Robert was the son of Jerry and Esther Corn. He graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA and later earned his MS in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Robert was Deputy Director of Purchasing for Onondaga County and previously was Terrain Analysis Branch Chief, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Belvoir, VA. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Topographic Analyst for eight years.

Robert excelled in competitive swimming. In high school, he was the 1991 Washington State Champion in the 100 meter butterfly. At Central Washington University, he continued to swim competitively for four years.

Robert was a member of the American Legion, Post 141, Manlius, NY. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, golf, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and son.

Surviving are his loving wife of 15 years, Julie (Kolakowski); daughter, Audrey; son, Samuel; and parents, Jerry and Esther Corn of Sun City West, AZ.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church. A burial will follow at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors.
