Robert V. Moore, 83, of Bridgeport died on February 25, 2020. Bob was born in Canastota on April 25, 1936 and graduated from Canastota High School and SUNY Oswego. He was a teacher at Chittenango High School his whole career and also was a Coach. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and most especially his family.
No words can express the great sadness we feel to announce the peaceful passing of Bob. Not only was he a loving husband and father to his family, but a mentor, teacher and coach to many. Bob was dedicated to his wife and family, working three jobs during much of his career to ensure that his family had an awesome upbringing. Those of you who knew Bob will much appreciate that he had his sense of humor up until the end. Bob shared his love of sports with his family, therefore, those of you planning to attend his celebration of life should feel free to wear your favorite team sweatshirt or other sports attire. Coach Moore will be sure to be in his!
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Susan Kahut Moore; three daughters, Karen Guillaume (David) of Manlius, Elizabeth Fakhoury of Asheville, NC and Amy Diel (Todd) of DeWitt; son, Charles Moore (Anja) of Basel, Switzerland; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Drew, Isabel, Lily, Bobby, Danny, Rhyse and Cary; and two brothers, Steven Moore of Sacramento, CA and Stuart Moore of Olean. He was predeceased by his parents, Herschel and Alma Moore; and brother, Richard Moore.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 1st at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A service celebrating his life will follow the calling hours at the funeral home.
