Obituary for Robert C. Parry
Robert C. “Bob” Parry passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 after a yearlong battle with ALS.
He was the son of Ruth B. and Richard B. Parry (both deceased); brother of Richard (Marla); husband of Peggy A. Parry (nee Lennon); and father of Robert C. and Shawn M. Parry by a previous marriage.
Bob was born on March 4, 1954, grew up in Oradell, NJ and graduated from River Dell High School (’72). He was a former member of the Oradell Volunteer Fire Department.
He served a full career and retired from the U.S. Air Force, he spent 43 years in aviation as a licensed A&P Professional. He was employed by McDonnell Douglas, Boeing and the best years spent with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, deployed to many clandestine locations around the world as well as part of the development of the MQ-9 program with the 174th ATKW NYANG.
He loved to dream, travel and above all, spend time in the kitchen. His hobbies included firearms and weaponry of all types, using his skills in wood and metal and taking care of his home while playing with his Golden Retriever Bear".
Bob was a life member of the Air Force Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, as well as a Benefactor Life Member of the NRA and Life Member of H.O.G.
In the end he lost his eternal nerve to ALS.
Internment will be at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, New Jersey.
