Roger C. Forell

January 14, 1930 - June 27, 2019

On Thursday, June 27th the most magnificent man in the world decided it was time for him to leave us and go home to the heavenly Father. Roger was a man of little words, but he made a positive impact on those he loved. Born in Marshfield, WI on January 14, 1930 to Richard and Ethel Forell, he received his BS in electrical engineering and started his career with the General Electric Company where he remained for 38 years. God knew what He was doing when He created this truly remarkable man. Roger will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja of East Syracuse; sons, Roger (Mary) Forell, Jr. of Liverpool and Michael Forell of Camillus; daughters, Michelle (Shaun) Stanczyk of East Syracuse and Christina Root of East Syracuse; granddaughters, Aleah Forell, Savannah Forell, Dakotah (Matthew) Egan, Brittany Root and Gibson Stanczyk; and cat, Sheldon.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Forell; infant son, Thomas; infant daughter, Paula; parents, Richard and Ethel Forell; and sister, Carol Lamb.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2 at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepps Corners Rd., Minoa. The funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 3 at St. Matthew’s Church in East Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Minoa.
