Obituary for Ruth Nolan

Ruth Nolan, 69, of Syracuse passed away suddenly at home on March 17th, 2021. Ruth was born in Jamestown, NY on September 5, 1951, the daughter of Jeannine and Dennis Nolan of Fayetteville.

For over 30 years, Ruth was a valued worker at Monarch Industries in a job she loved. In her spare time, she loved watching videos and had a wealth of knowledge related to performing artists, especially musicians and bands. Dancing was her passion, and on Sundays she played the tambourine with the American Eagle band.

Ruth loved to travel with her parents as well as with Tulip Travel. She looked forward to cruising and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Some of her favorite destinations were the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, and Egypt.

Ruth will be remembered for her cheery greetings, happy smiles and embellished stories. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her mother; aunts: Winifred (Ray) Dorman of Jamestown and Jean LeRoy of Ashville, NY; cousins: Rick (Sue) Dorman, Norma (Jim) Chrysler, Debbie (Mark) Eckstrand, and Kathleen Nolan, as well as many first and second cousins living out of state.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville, from 4 to 6:30 pm, followed by a short service. Family members will conduct a private burial on Wednesday morning.

Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to Arc of Onondaga, 600 South Wilbur Avenue, Syracuse.
