Obituary for Suzanne D. Testani

Suzanne Donellan Testani, 61, of Manlius, died on October 7, 2023, surrounded by her children and husband.

She was born to the late Thomas and Uraynia Donellan on December 28, 1961, in Natick, Massachusetts. Suzanne received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

Suzanne married Angelo Testani in 1994. Together, they raised four wonderful children, Benjamin of Oakland, California, and Andrew, Nicholas, and Sophia Testani, all of Manlius. She is also survived by her brother Thomas (Pam) of Hamilton, Massachusett and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

Suzanne dedicated much of her life to working with children, having spent a number of years as a social worker in the Boston area. For the last 15 years, she held a variety of roles in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District, including 12 years overseeing the high school’s Learning Support Center, where she loved going to work every day.

Suzanne’s greatest joy in life were her four kids, to whom she imparted all of their best characteristics. Her best friends, Dina DeSorbo and Sherry Tester, who drove her to nearly all of her medical appointments, never failed to make her smile. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the undisputed household champ of Sorry and Yahtzee.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13 at St. Ann’s Church in Manlius. There will be an additional calling hour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14 before the church service, which begins at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that people make donations in her name to Camp Good Days and Special Times or Ithaca College BomberTHON.
