Obituary for Vicki H. Burdick
Vicki Henson Burdick, 70, of Manlius, passed away with her family by her side. She left this world sooner than we all wanted and she added spark and love to our lives everyday.
She grew up in Watervale, NY, the daughter of Bro and Sarah Henson and graduated from Fabius-Pompey High School. Vicki was a hard worker. While raising three daughters she worked as a bank teller for over 20 years at Marine Midland Bank in Manlius followed by working as an officer manager at Edgeline Electric for over 20 years. She most recently worked part-time at Scholastic Sports. Her grandchildren were her passion and she enjoyed watching them grow.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bill; mother, Sarah; and brother, Gene.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill (Jim) Laskowski of Fabius, Amy (Chuck) Broddus of Manlius and Lisa (Craig) Mahon of East Syracuse; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; father, Alton "Bro" Henson; siblings, Sandy (Denny) Blair, John (Claudette) Henson, Jim (Jody) Henson, Jan Henson, Judy (Pete) Dougherty, Gary (Shelly) Henson; sister-in-law, Carol Henson; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Watervale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crouse Health Foundation, 736 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
