Vietta Beekner Hotaling, 87, of Manlius passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born at Peck Hill, Town of Manlius. She graduated from Cazenovia Central School and SUNY Cobleskill College. After many years as a child care provider, she was employed as a seamstress for the Addis Co.

She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church of Manlius, where she held many positions, including custodian and President of the Women's Society. She was active in the FM Food Pantry and FM Meals on Wheels, enjoyed reading and antiques and participated in the Chittenango Sewing Group.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Hotaling; son, Harold Hotaling and his wife, Mary of Manlius; daughter, Barbara E. Hotaling of Manlius; and grandsons, William A. Hotaling of Brooklyn and Christopher R. Hotaling and his wife, Jenna of Rochester.

She was predeceased by her parents Leah and Andrew Beekner and her Uncle, William C Beekner.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28 at The United Methodist Church of Manlius, corner of Pleasant and Wesley Streets in Manlius. The service will follow the calling hours.
