Obituary for Virginia G. Croft

Virginia Grace Gillett Seaman Croft, 95, of Collamer passed away on Saturday. She was born on September 30, 1924 in Syracuse to William and Laura Gillett, third of six children. Virginia graduated from Eastwood High School where she was the treasurer of Tri Y Sorority and writer for the yearbook. She lived in Collamer since 1948 while employed by Western Electric Credit Union, Manlius Pebble Hill School as a bookkeeper and US Postal Service as a clerk. She was involved in many organizations including Red Hats, Eastwood Senior Center and VFW Post 9596. She had a happy childhood growing up at Cross Lake where her dad had built their family camp. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Croft ; siblings, Harvey Gillett, Dorothy Gillett Reaume, Shirley Gillett Coe Melton, Margaret Gillett Bewley and Donald Gillett.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Jackie Durantini-Deegan and son, Douglas (Diane) Seaman; grandchildren, Tami Durantini, Todd Durantini, Troy (Kelly) Durantini, Darcy Seaman and Shannon (Kevin) Eddy; 7 great-grandchildren, Baylee, Todd, Jr., Averi, Alyssa, Lucas, Harrison and Logan as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
