William Joseph Ball, Jr, 83, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at home.  He was born on July 27, 1939 in Syracuse, NY and in 1958, graduated from St. Anthony of Padua High School in Syracuse.  

     He was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 1249 for 63 years, including over 40 years in active service before retirement.  He was a member of the Moose Club, Lodge 625 in Syracuse for  53 years, the Oneida Lake Association and the ARC club of Local 1249.  Bill enjoyed spending time with family & friends, fishing, SU football & basketball, NASCAR and working in his yard.

     He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Anne (Elizabeth Anne McManus); parents, William Joseph and Anna Connell Ball; sister, Margaret Costello; and 2 brothers-in-law.

     He is survived by his son, Daniel W. (Stacey) of Jordan, NY; daughter, Karen E. (Michael Wong) of Brooklyn, NY; grandson, Danny Ball; brother, James J. Ball (Nancy) of Charlotte, NC; and sisters, Agnes MacMaster and Sister Ann Marie Ball, both of Syracuse, NY. Bill is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

     Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 2 at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepps Corners Rd., Minoa.  The funeral Mass will be 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3 at All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave., Syracuse.
