Emily A. Tyfczynski, 88, of Kirkville, passed away early Monday morning, April 27, 2015.
Born in Rome, NY on January 11, 1927, she was the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve Petrowski. She married the love of her life, John “Tyffy” Tyfczynski, they were married for 69 years. She was employed with Carrier for 35 years. Emily loved to play cards and garden.
She is predeceased by her parents, and sister Joan Petrowski Kennedy. Surviving are her husband, John “Tyffy” Tyfczynski; daughter, Carol (Warren) Canorro; grandchildren, Colleen (James) Fawcett of Chittenango and John (Kelli) Lewis of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren, Emily and Olivia Fawcett and Cooper, Sarah and Matthew Lewis; and several nieces.
The family wishes to thank all her caregivers on the 6th floor north and ICU at Crouse Hospital.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, April 29, 4 to 7 pm at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, April 30, at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church, Minoa. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa.
