Obituary for Charles H. Christiansen

Charles H. Christiansen, 89, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully. He was born in Brooklyn and grew up in New Jersey. He joined the Army July 1, 1944 and was honorably discharged on May 22, 1946. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award. He retired from New Process Gear. He loved his family and enjoyed wood carving.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly J. in 2013; and his sister, Evelyn Olands. He is survived by his daughters, Susan (James) Peterson, Deborah (Larry) Ferris and Pamela (Dewey) Bodley; grandchildren, Jaime and Doug Scott, Kristina Tarwacki, Kimmie Peterson, James McComb, Ashley Ferris, Claire (Kevin) Miller and Ethan Bodley; great-grandchildren, Jobi and Caleb Scott and Addison Miller; sisters, Louise Gerrity and Helen Hull; and brother, Kenneth Christiansen.
Services will be private.
