Martha S. Stormon, 88, of Niagara Falls passed away Wednesday night, April 22, 2015 in Manlius, NY.
Born in Norwalk, OH on June 21, 1926, she was the daughter of Clinton and Frances Stevenson. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. After graduating she moved to Niagara Falls, NY to work as a chemist at Hooker Chemical Company, where she met her husband of 25 years, Dean Stormon. Later, Martha earned a master’s degree in education from Niagara University andwas a teacher in the Niagara Falls School District for many years. She subsequently served as Director of Volunteers at the Niagara Memorial Medical Center.
Martha belonged to the Tatler Club, she had a sewing group and loved to play bridge.
She is predeceased by her husband, Dean; sister, Sally; and brother Clinton. Martha is survived by her three children, Sally, John, and Charles, Charles’ wife Gyata; three grandchildren, Sally’s daughter Rayna Winters, and Charles’ two children Hayley and Luke Stormon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.
