Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear about Karen's passing. It's been so many years since I lived in Syracuse but she made it a point to always keep in contact with me. We had many great memories working together at Crouse. She would send cards and letters with her unique writing to let me know how she and her "Grands" were doing! She will be so very missed.

Though I only got to know her and her family in the final phase of her life, I could tell she was once a vibrant woman who had a loving and supportive family who really made sure she had the best care. I was so sorry to hear about Karen. I knew her from the days of Rosie and Hopkins Street and then had the pleasure of working with her on pediatrics at Crouse Hospital. Karen's smile lit up a room and her kindness and caring ways extended to anyone who crossed her path. She certainly was a "bigger than life" type of person. Her family was very lucky to have her.
