Betty was secretary of the Cazenovia College Auxiliary and the first lifetime member of the Cazenovia College Booster Club. She was also a strong supporter of the Cazenovia Volunteer Ambulance Corp. (CAVAC) and worked as a dispatcher early in her career. She enjoyed her leadership role with the Madison County Democratic Committee and was proud of receiving an invitation to John F.
