Obituary for Mark H. Jackson

Mark Hamilton Jackson, 89, of Syracuse passed away on Monday. He was born in Syracuse on March 18, 1926 and graduated from Fordham University. He was an associate professor of History at LeMoyne College for over 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was an Army Air Corp veteran. Mark loved the Adirondacks, bagpipes and his family.
He is survived by his children, daughters, Kathryn (Scott) Stephan of Rome, Margaret (Ed) Ring of California, Cecily (William) Albach of Virginia, and like a daughter, Kristen I. Johanns of Syracuse; sons, Mark F. (Sue) Jackson of Chittenango, Brendan (Jennifer) Jackson of Baldwinsville and Derrick (Lori) Jackson of Oneida; and grandchildren, John Brian and Ben Jackson, Seth Jackson, Nicholas and Sophie Stephan, Emma and Andrew Albach and Thomas Jackson.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am Friday at LeMoyne College Chapel, 1419 Salt Springs Rd., Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Syracuse.
