Obituary for Everett C. Brazie

Everett C. Brazie, 85, of Erie Village, passed away on Friday. He attended Boonville High School and earned a degree in Economics from Hobart College. After graduating from Hobart, Everett served in the US Army earning the rank of Captain. He was Commander of “Company A” attached to the 969 Engineering Battalion.
Everett was Vice-President of Sales for Syracuse Supply Co. He later owned and operated VR Business Brokers and then worked for Prima International before retiring. He was a member of the DeWitt Rotary, Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and Limestone Tennis Club. He also attended DeWitt Community Church. Everett was an avid tennis player and won numerous gold and silver medals in the NYS Empire State Games. Everett was a longtime fan of SU Football and Basketball. He and his wife Kathy enjoyed traveling to many places and spending winters in Delray Beach and Tampa, Florida. Most of all Everett enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his camp in Brantingham Lake.
He was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Marie.
Survivors: his wife Kathy; sons Scott (Sheila) and Darin (Kathalyn); daughter Elizabeth (Tyler) Thickstun; stepsons James (Theresa), Stephen (Theresa), David (Katie) and Mark (Terri) Brenon; grandchildren Jack, Charlotte, Luke, Jacob and Ava Brazie as well as step-grandchildren Jacqueline (Corey) Finch, Amanda Brenon, Danielle (Austin) Groff, Joseph, Jesse, Allie Rose, Christopher, Nicole, Sean, Meagan, Reagan, and Jeadyn Brenon.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Wednesday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel. A service will follow at 4 pm at the funeral home, 7191 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville, NY 13066. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday at Brantingham Cemetery, Brantingham Lake, NY.
