Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mwalula Bwalya can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Obituary for Mwalula Bwalya

Mwalula Bwalya, 30, of Manlius, passed away Thursday in Colorado. He was born in Kitwe, Zambia, the son of Peter Bwalya and Annie Mwelwa. Mwalula graduated from Fayetteville- Manlius High School and later worked in Technical Support for Microsoft (Sutherland Global) .
He was a member of United Church of Fayetteville. Mwalula enjoyed graphic design and was working on screen printing. He was designing original screens and he made a T-shirt collection depicting his personal journey.
Surviving are; his mother, Annie Mwelwa, son, Noah Bwalya, sister, Mwelwa D. Bwalya, brother, Chikwa Bwalya, niece, Yassa Bwalya. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Bwalya in 1990, and his grandparents, Robert and Fanny Mwelwa.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7pm, at United Church of Fayetteville, 310 East Genesee St., Fayetteville. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11am at the church. Burial will follow the service at Manlius Village Cemetery.
