Obituary for Michael G. Rowe

Michael G. Rowe, 74, of Fayetteville, New York, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 2015. Michael graduated from LeMoyne College in 1959, and was a Naval Officer from 1962 until 1965. He went on to work as a Certified Public Accountant and then later as Chief Financial Officer for Anaren Microwave. Most recently, he was the Controller for Gould-Farmer Co. of Syracuse. Michael served as a board member on the Fayetteville Planning Board, and Onondaga Community Living.
Michael is survived by his four children, Kathleen M. of East Syracuse, NY, Michael G. Jr. of Fayetteville, NY, David H. and his wife Anna of Walnut Creek, CA, and Alexandra L. Brazier of Cambridge, MA, his two grandchildren, Maya and Sienna, his siblings Linda Lewis of DeWitt, NY, and David M. Rowe and his wife Barbara, of Sturgis, MI, his nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gladys (Raum) Rowe.
Mike’s greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed music, reading, golf, bicycling, skiing in Aspen, and a wry sense of humor. He was a participant in The Great Race, a team triathlon, for 36 consecutive years. Mike would ask his family and friends to raise a glass of their favorite drink in his memory. He will be dearly missed.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 3-6 p.m. at Eaton Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, NY.
