Obituary for Ruth Ann Taylor

Ruth A. Taylor, 73, of Kirkville, passed away on Wednesday. She was born in Syracuse to the late Carlton and Mabel Hanley. Ruth, along with her husband Warren, owned and operated Poolsbrook Golf Course. Together they enjoyed to travel and play golf all around the country. Ruth worked for FM schools in the cafeteria. She also enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by two children, John and Lisa Furbeck and three brothers, James, Robert and Floyd Hanley.
Survivors: her husband of 47 years Warren; three children, Karen (Dan) Chase, Amy (Jim) Hockey and Jim (Alcia) Furbeck; two sisters, Doris Schoolcraft and Betty (Calvin) Dykeman; two brothers, Ralph and Chuck Hanley; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel. A service will be held at 10:00 am Monday at the funeral home, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. Burial will follow at Kirkville Cemetery.
